Cree tattoo artist Poppy Del has just given birth to her first daughter, Briar Rain. To immerse herself and her daughter in their culture, Poppy trades tattoos for traditional knowledge, regalia, and spiritual experiences. Her mom, Sheree, joins the adventure, driving their mobile tattoo studio so Poppy can focus on her trades and Sheree can embrace her role as Briar's Kookum (grandmother). The challenge: Can Poppy accomplish all of this and open a new shop to expand her business in time to dance with her daughter at next season's powwow?
